Circuit Electricity

Circuit electricity is easy to understand if one understands several basic ideas and facts.  However if one makes a mistake with circuit electricity, the consequences can be catastrophic, or expensive at the very least least.

So what should a beginner do?

First, learn the basic principles and facts about electricity. This site is a good place to start.

You should learn what volts and amps are.  What they measure and why they are important.  Then, learn about basic safety principles. This is extremely important.  Make a mistake with circuit electricity and you could pay with your life, or someone else’s.

A simple circuit with ordinary 120 Volts of household electricity can kill you very easily and surely, if you wire up a circuit incorrectly.

If you really want to get involved with circuit electricity, then you need to educate yourself.  This can be achieved in many ways.  Some are time consuming and expensive such as a trade school or apprentice electricians program.
